BQS RATES

Payment is due at time of service. If invoicing is necessary, payment is required within 10 days or a late fee of $20 will be assessed.  All “Past Due” Invoices are sent to Collection after 90 days.

DIAGNOSTICS, REPAIR AND/OR INSTALLATION OF PARTS

STANDARD Service: Applicable to all types of Residential Appliances except Refrigeration (Refrigerators, Freezers, Ice Machines, etc.) for economy & mid-range US brands (not high-end or European brands) –
$125 per hour (minimum) and $65 each additional half hour. Plus “Initial Trip Fee” of $35 (if applicable).

REFRIGERATION Service: For all Residential Refrigeration Appliances (Refrigerators, Freezers, Ice Machines, etc.) of economy & mid-range US brands (not Commercial, high-end or European brands) –
$130 per hour (minimum) and $75 each additional half hour. Plus “Initial Trip Fee” of $35 (if applicable).

PREMIUM Service: Applicable to all Residential & Commercial, high-end & European brands of all types of Appliances (as these require more specialized service and technical knowledge) –
$155 per hour (minimum) and $75 each additional half hour. Plus “Initial Trip Fee” of $35 (if applicable).

Initial Trip Fee $35 – Applicable to Service on the first visit by a BQS Technician to diagnose a problem with a specific Appliance.

Initial service visit is to diagnose the problem and repair, if possible. If Parts will need to be ordered, BQS will source and Joshua Bate Trading Bermuda Ltd. will provide a landed Quotation within 2 to 3 business days for the cost of Parts, which will include the estimated lead time. Most Parts take approximately 2 weeks to get to Bermuda. All Quotations for Parts must be paid in full to be processed as Orders. As soon as parts arrive in Bermuda, customer is contacted by BQS to schedule the repair. Installation of Parts is billed at the same Service Rate, without an “Initial Trip Fee.”

When required, a Junior Technician or Assistant/Laborer may assist a BQS Technician on a Service Call. Junior Technicians are billed at $120 per hour ($60 per half hour) and Assistants/Laborers are billed at $90 per hour ($45 per half hour).


INSTALLATION/ASSEMBLY

Single BASIC Appliance: Any brand of standard-sized Refrigerator (Freestanding only – 36″ width or less), Washer, Electric Dryer, Electric Range (30″ or less), Electric Cooktop (30″ or less), etc. –
$120 per hour (minimum) and $60 each additional half hour. Plus “Initial Trip Fee” of $35 (if applicable).

Single DELUXE Appliance: Any brand of standard-sized Dishwasher (24″ or 18″ width), Hood (30″ or less), Gas Dryer, Gas Range (30″ or less), Gas Cooktop (30″ or less), Wall Oven, Laundry Center, etc. –
$140 per hour (minimum) and $70 each additional half hour. Plus “Initial Trip Fee” of $35 (if applicable).

Single LUXURY Appliance: Large (36″ width or more), Built-In Appliance and/or most high-end & European brands (as these require more specialized service and technical knowledge) –
$150 per hour (minimum charge) and $75 each additional half hour. Plus “Initial Trip Fee” of $35 (if applicable).

Luxury Appliances often require a Junior Technician or Assistant/Laborer to assist the BQS Technician with Installation. Junior Technicians are billed at $120 per hour ($60 per half hour) and Assistants/Laborers are billed at $90 per hour ($45 per half hour).

MULTI-APPLIANCE INSTALLATION: for more than one Appliance of any type or brand –
$150 per hour (minimum) and $75 each additional half hour.

Multi-Appliance Installations may require a 2nd BQS Technician or Assistant/Laborer. A 2nd BQS Technician would be billed at $130 per hour ($65 per half hour) and Assistant/Laborer would be billed at $90 per hour ($45 per half hour).

OTR (Over-the-Range) Microwave PACKAGE INSTALL* – Includes Installation only for $180 (Add $90 if Technician requires Assistant).

OTR (Over-the-Range) Microwave WHITE GLOVE PACKAGE INSTALL* – Includes Delivery, Installation & Removal (and Disposal) of existing unit for $240 (Add $90 if Technician requires Assistant).

*OTR Microwaves over 50 lbs or site requirement of drilling through glass or tile not eligible for PACKAGE INSTALL Rates.


URGENCY FEE

Customers are required to verify that goods will fit through doorways before receiving delivery. If there is a problem and a BQS technician must go to the delivery site while the delivery is in process (for example, to remove the doors off a refrigerator to get it through the doorway), there will be a $100 Urgency Fee added to the standard BQS service charge.


MAINTENANCE

Billed at Installation Rates, unless a contract is negotiated prior to service. Same discount and billing details apply.


CONSULTATIONS

To determine if BQS can be of assistance on a project, time is billed at $75 for up to first 45 mins, plus $50 each additional half hour. Same discount and billing details apply.


DELIVERY

BQS can deliver small items to be installed for a flat fee of $50. Please note that space is limited in BQS vehicles. Customers who purchased in-stock appliances from BATE’S will not be charged, except for Cooktops and Microwaves, which do not include Free Delivery.


REMOVAL & DISPOSAL

Existing appliances, which will fit in BQS vehicles, can be removed for a flat fee of $100. Please note that space is limited.


MINIMUM TRIP CHARGE

$75 will be charged for appointments not cancelled 24 hours in advance, or for less than 15 minutes of service on-site.
